Relish Eid ul fitr

Allhamdullilah! We have crossed one more Ramadan in our life, which would definitely take us very much closer to Jannah, Insha ‘Allah.

The most awaited festival, Eid ul fitr is approaching us.

We all are so excited and delighted to welcome the special day after a month long fasting for Allah (swt).
The fragrance of mehendi, new clothes, early morning rush to the mosque, spreading wishes, sharing gifts and the smell of special dishes from the kitchen makes it complete.

As Muslims do not celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, mother’s day, valentine’s day etc., Eid should be taken as an opportunity to make up for all the occasions.

Let us use this day to send greetings to our relatives and friends who are away from us, lets buy gifts for kids in the family, lets make our parents happy by buying them something they longed for or by simply giving them a cozy hug, lets make our spouse feel special by buying him/her a bouquet of red roses or cooking their favorite dish, and the list goes on.. Not to forget our neighbours, Muslims and not yet Muslims.

Allah has allowed Muslims with two main festivals, of which one is Eid ul fitr and the other Eid ul ada.

Eid ul ada coincides with the Hajj. It is to remember the time when Prophet Ibrahim(as) was going to sacrifice his own son to prove his obedience to Allah.

There are some people who take Eid casually, they don’t bother to buy new clothes, go to mosque, cook special meals, or treat the day in a way it should be treated.

When Allah has allowed us a day on which we are supposed to rejoice after a month long sacrifice in all forms, it is our duty to make use of the golden opportunity to make ourselves and people around us happy.

Just take care to have fun in halaal ways so that we don’t lose the reward of all the spiritual deeds done in Ramadan.  We say its Eid and we are allowed to do everything as we want, that’s true, but not in the ways which Allah would not be pleased with. Breaking crackers, going for a movie, hanging out in places which is haraam with an excuse it’s Eid is not the right way to approach the day (reminder for me as well).

I am so very thrilled about Eid and i believe every person reading this own almost the same feeling.

Insha ‘Allah, may we gain more reward and love from Allah by celebrating Eid!!

This is ISLAM..we gain reward for all deeds done for Allah..even celebrations….
