      May Allah (swt) reward Dr Zakir Naik, one of the most liked and dedicated scholars and who was and is a great inspiration to me. May Allah (swt) reward him in this life and may Allah (swt) reward him in the Hereafter .

      I for a start greatly admire Dr Zakir Naik and his lectures helped me and still help me. Amazing personality, intelligence, memory and understanding. As with regards to your comment we have to rely on the Holy Qur’an and the ahadeeth to obtain our knowledge and not rely on the opinions of certain individuals. As a New Muslim, this is what I do myself. Use reliable sources for help and use my intelligence to make distinctions. Thanks for your comment

    It is not sufficient for us brothers and sisters to simply admire a brother doing great job.We all have a duty to do Da’wah il Allaah(Calling and Inviting towards Allaah) every single day of our lives just like Nooh ‘alaih-is-salaam used to do, day and night.
    The most important thing is to know more about Laa Ilaaha ill Allaahu MuhammadurRasoolullaah
    Then it is important to establish Salaah 5 times a day because this is the distinction between a Muslim and an Unbeliever, and it is the Key to Jannah.
    We should try to ponder over the meaning of recitation of the Aayaat of Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem we listen at Fajr,Maghrib,’Isha,Jumu’ah and Taraaweeh.

    Tafseer Jalaalayn and Tafseer Ibn Katheer are greatly conducive to understand how Sahaabah radiyAllaahu ‘anhum understood Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem.

    Dr. Zakir Naik’s topic was supposed to be Islam and the 21st century but in his speech he never addressed that issue. Instead he was RECITING quotations from his various previous speeches as anyone who watches his Peace TV channel will understand. His whole speech was cut and pastes of his previous talks.
    He talked of the the so called science that the Quruan supposedly has, but one may wonder why none of the Muslims who read and recite this book everyday never came up with these scientific facts.
    In the ad on his channel about the Oxford address, it says he is joining the ranks of people like Einstein etc butI believe that Dr. Naik is not an intellectual but a showman

      Thank you for your comment. Dr Zakir Naik was addressing an audience that might not have been watching Peace TV on regular basis or not at all and possibly had been unfamiliar with Islam, The Miracles in the Qur’an, etc. So he had to make his speech with a content appropriate for his audience. Dr Zakir Naik is making a tremendous contribution in dawah and he is gifted with an amazing memory. He has dedicated his life promoting the message of Peace. I would restrain myself from making any negative comment as :
      Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.”Bukhari (Book #1, Hadith #1)
      Only Allah (swt) knows what is hidden in our hearts.

      For me Dr Zakir Naik is an inspiration.

    In regard to the comments made by MASSDOOG against Dr. Zakir, now I ask you MASSDOOG “supposing you were a gate man and you receive reward (ie salary or wage) for the job, and you work according to specified working conditions , one of which is for you to open the gate wide before someone makes an entry and you do that on a daily bases, tell me if someone want to make an unprohibited entry with a Motor Cycle what would you do?.
