Assalaamu ‘Alaikum waRahmatullaahi waBarakaatuh
This article is full of pearls and gems of Hikmah.
I discovered many new gems here.The selection of Ayaat of Allaah and Ahaadeeth of Rasool sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam shows how close the writer is to Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem and Hikmah of Rasool sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam.He should be praised in his absence because praising in the presence of a person may lead do descrease in Ikhlaas and Riya(Doing an ‘Amal to be seen by men rather than for Pleasure of Allaah)
“It must also be noted that, to this day, many Satan-worshippers consider the evening of October 31st to be their most sacred. ”
This was shocking.Perhaps,if I am recalling correctly, Satan-worship is described as one of the Ashraat(Signs) of Final Hour, in Islamic Texts.
“Our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam issued a stern warning in this regard by stating: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” [Abu Daawood]”
To obey Rasool sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam regarding this Hadeeth is one of the greatest challenges of Da’wah.This is what is described by non-Muslims as the cultural conquest by Islam.But, Sunnah culture has its spiritual appeal till Qiyaamah, so the cultural conquest by Sunnah culture is inevitable InshaaAllaah.Muslims are ignorant of their cultural potential.Sunnah culture is a Godly culture of morality and ethics that prevailed in the classical Islamic civilization, and prospects of a future Sunnah civilization are great depeding upon our Ikhlaas in Da’wah ilAllaah and persistence in Du’aa.Muhammad Asad, formerly Leopold Weiss, an Austrian Yahoodi(Jewish) convert to Islam mentions an important lesson for Muslims in his book full of pearls of Hikmah-Islam at the crossroads(The fact that Muslims have to choose between the Path of Sahaabah radiyAllaahu ‘anhum or the Path of Yahood and Nasaaraa)- that if Muslims would abandon their indigenous attires, they would embrace the inner vices of Yahood and Nasaaraa, as well.I feel the the greatest cultural weapons Muslims own against the Allaah-less culture of Shaitaan, are their indigenous languages and their indigenous attires.Arabic has affected the evolution and development of many non-Arabic languages spoken by Muslim-majority human societies.
“The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
“I swear by Him in Whose hands is my life! You are ordered to enjoin good and forbid evil, or else Allaah will certainly afflict you with torments. Thereafter, even your Du’aa’ (supplications) will not be accepted.” [At-Tirmithi]”
Hence, our lack of Amr bil Ma’roof and Nahy ‘anil Munkar is the greatest obstruction in acceptance of our Du’aas.If Muslims want their condition to change,their Du’aas to be accepted by Allaah, they should restart the Divinely-prescribed mission of Amr bil Ma’roof and Nahy ‘anil Munkar that has been abandoned for centuries.Note and try to feel the emphasis by the Path of Love of Allaah(As Allaah commanded anyone who loves Allaah to follow Him) in solitude “”I swear by Him in Whose hands is my life! ”
“Every innovation (in our religion) is misguidance, even if the people regard it as something good.” [Ad-Daarimi]”
“Even if the people regard it as something good” is a great warning. This Riwaayah(A Variant Narration of a Hadeeth of Rasool sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) is not as much famous as the other ones pertaining to Bid’ah.
““We have sent them the Truth, but they indeed practice falsehood.” [Quran: 23:90]”
The translation of the Aayah gives a different dimension compared to Tarjumah(Translation) by Dr.Muhsin&Dr.Taqi.’But’ gives a different sense applicable to Muslims.I disgress here.I wonder whether Tarjumah is Bid’ah or not.We should do an honest Tahqeeq(Seeking Haqq and Truth) if we love Sunnah-the Ark of Nooh ‘alaihi salaam for Najaat(Salvation) .Some say Imaam Abu Haneefah rahimahu(A)llaah allowed Tarjumah if Arabic text is included in the Mus-haf(Hard copy of Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem)(I don’t know the textual source from Salaf regarding His Fatwaa on Jawaaz(Being Legal in Sharee’ah))We should care more about Sunnah than our own comfort and discomfort.
“Islam is a pure religion and has no need to accommodate any custom, practice or celebration that is not a part of it.”
Islam opposes Jaahiliyyah whether traditional or modern.Jaahiliyyah cultures and lifestyles impede spiritual development of Nafs(Human Self) upto the ideal of Nafs-ul-Mutmainnah(Self at peace with Allaah).It is the spiritually most developed state of Nafs, when you don’t want,like or dislike anything other than what Allaah and Rasool sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam want,like or dislike.Search Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem(In the last Juz out of 30 Ajzaa of Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem) for how warmly Allaah congratulates and welcomes Nafs-ul-Mutmainnah into Jannah and expresses His Pleasure and Radaa.
“Islam does not distinguish between ‘secular’ and ‘sacred’”
Some Muslims have the tendency to confuse the above.When Islam doesn’t distinguish, it intends to make secular as much spiritual and sacred, and not vice versa.As ‘Ali radiyAllaahu ‘anhu was asked by a Kafir, how much time, that is,how many hours in a day you worship Allaah. He said:We remain in every moment is a state of worship because we do everything in the Sunnah way.
Rasool sall Allaahu ‘alaihi wasallam even said:Having relationship with your wife is also Sadaqah.
He also said:Nikah(Marriage) is my Sunnah as was the Sunnah of all Mursaleen(Messengers of Allaah).
“…So let those beware who dissent from his [i.e., the Prophet's] order, lest a grievous trial strike them or a painful punishment.” [Quran: 24:63]”
This Aayah of Soorah An-Noor is the Qur’aanic basis of why Sunnah is the Ark of Nooh ‘alaihis salaam for Najaat.Deviating from Sunnah is to disobey His Amr(Commandment) and leads to Fitna(Religion and Deen and consequently Aaakhirah being in danger, that’s why Fitna is referred to as more dangerous than murder in Qur’aan-ul-Hakeem, because if you are murdered you lose Dunyaa,by Fitna you lose Aakhirah as well) and ‘Azaab(Punishment by Allaah in Dunyaa and Aakhirah)
“This is a serious matter and one not to be taken lightly. ”
It reminds the statement of Anas radiyAllaahu ‘anhu in the end of the story of Tha’laba radiyAllaahu ‘anhu you had posted.

I urge all the readers here who read this to distribute as many copies of this article among Muslims as possible, this year and every year, because this would recur every year.This copy will help them in the next years as well, InshaaAllaah.The same must be done for other events like Valentine’s day.This is a must if we want our Du’aas to be accepted by Allaah
